Spartan Race- 2019

May 19, 2019

For those who may not know what a Spartan Race is, it is miles of multiple obstacles that pushes a person to reach their fullest potential. There are several different lengths of courses. A Sprint (3 miles, 20 obstacles), Super (8 miles, 25 obstacles), and Beast (13 miles, 30 obstacles) and it just keeps going up from there. Since this was Matt's first Spartan Race he started small with a Sprint to see what he was getting himself into. See the video below to get a feel of some of these crazy obstacles. Obviously the race in the video is not the one Matt participated in as it is a video from Hawaii or some tropical area.

Now for some photos of Matt during his run. I was not able to attend as these courses charge for spectators to be present, and I had to work my final Saturday school to prepare my students for their STAAR retest exam.

This is the last race event Matt has until September! For now he will just be hitting the gym until a new race season opens up. Not much happens in Texas during the summer due to extreme heat!
